Chronicling America

Chronicling America API is a web service that provides access to information about historic newspapers from the Library of Congress’ Chronicling America website. It offers a variety of search options, including by keyword, date, state, and newspaper title. Results can be filtered by date, state, and type of newspaper. The API can be used to display specific results on a website or app, or to download entire databases of newspaper information.
